Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how JustPaste collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information We Collect
JustPaste is a client-side static web application. This means we do **not** have a server-side backend or a database to store your data. The data you enter is handled as follows:
- Content You Provide: The "Title," "Description," and "Links/Notes" you enter into the form on our homepage.
- Locally Processed: This information is processed directly in your web browser.
How Information is Stored and Used
When you click "Generate Protected Page," the data you provided is bundled and encoded into a Base64 string. This string is then embedded directly into the URL of the protected page (`view.html?id=...`).
- We do not store your data on our servers. The data lives entirely within the unique URL you generate.
- The data is used solely to display the content on the corresponding `view.html` page when someone visits that specific URL.
- Possession of the URL is equivalent to having access to the data. Share your generated links responsibly.
Data Security
We secure the content through obfuscation. The URL is long, random, and unguessable. Please note that Base64 encoding is not encryption and can be decoded by anyone with the URL. The primary protection mechanism is the secrecy of the URL itself.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies or any third-party tracking/analytics services (like Google Analytics) on our website.
Third-Party Links
The core purpose of this tool is to share links. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party websites that you or others link to.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
